What is a smart link?

A smart link is one URL that sends each visitor to a different destination depending on who they are — usually their device. With URX, urx.si/yourapp can open the App Store on an iPhone, Google Play on Android and your website on a laptop.

Can I use one URX link for iOS, Android and web?

Yes — that's the core of URX. You add a destination for iPhone and iPad, one for Android and one for everyone else, and share a single link.

Are custom urx.si links really free?

Yes. Choosing your own slug, like urx.si/acme, is included on the free plan. Slugs are first come, first served, and some words are reserved.

Can I change destinations after publishing?

Yes. You can edit where a link goes at any time. Everyone who opens it afterwards goes to the new destination — the link itself never changes.

Will an existing QR code still work after I edit a destination?

Yes. A URX QR code points to your URX link, not to the final destination. Change the destination and the printed code keeps working.

Does URX support deep linking?

URX can open a specific screen in your installed app using your app's URI scheme, and fall back to the store or website when the app isn't installed. Universal Links and App Links on custom domains are coming soon. Deferred deep linking — opening the right screen after a fresh install — is on the roadmap.

What happens if my app isn't installed?

The visitor goes to the store for their platform, or to the fallback you set — usually your website. They never hit a dead end.

Can I use my own domain?

Custom domains such as links.yourbrand.com are part of the Growth plan and are rolling out soon. You verify the domain with a DNS record and URX handles HTTPS.

What analytics does URX collect?

For each click: time, link, the destination chosen, platform, device type, browser, country, referrer and any UTM parameters on the link. URX doesn't sell this data and doesn't use it for advertising.

Do I need to install an SDK?

No. Smart links, routing rules, QR codes and click analytics work without any code in your app. An SDK will only be needed for deferred deep linking in the future.

Can I use URX without a mobile app?

Yes. Many links only point to websites — URX still gives you a branded link, routing by country or source, QR codes and analytics.
